LOS RIOS MUNICIPAL WASTE ASSOCIATION | Action plan for the management of organic waste in the Los Ríos region

Since 2023, we have been developing a three-year regional action plan to align organic waste management with the objectives of the National Organic Waste Strategy.

We are currently developing six municipal composting plants, together with Municipalities, Sectorial Agencies and the Regional Government.

REVISTE | Non-hazardous waste recovery plant

Processing and obtaining health permits for the recovery of wood waste for the production of wood cladding panels.

VALORASUR | Composting plant in static piles using forced aeration

Design, permitting and construction of a composting plant in the Araucanía region, with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year for industrial and domestic waste.

KDM | Support expansion of Talca and Curicó landfill

During the years 2022 and 2023, the expansion of the El Retamo, Talca and El Guanaco, Teno landfills was built.

Both projects included more than 200,000 m3 of excavation and more than 60,000 m2 of waterproofing.

MERVAL | Study to identify the roles of properties adjacent to the Valparaíso Regional Metro line

Study of the identification of land adjacent to the Metro Valparaíso railway line for the municipalities of Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Quilpué, Villa Alemana and Limache. Providing plans and a database that identifies the owners of the land in order to establish contact with them.

NUEVOSUR | Biomass combustion, an alternative for the management of sanitary sludge

Study carried out at Nuevosur that evaluated the technical-economic alternative of using sewage sludge as biomass in a boiler, thereby reducing the generation of greenhouse gases and avoiding the disposal of sludge in monofill and/or sanitary landfill, preventing the generation of all associated environmental impacts.

AGRO PUELMA | Evaluation and development of waste recovery projects to be used as fertilizers

Study that evaluates the use of different wastes from industrial manufacturing and extractive processes as fertilizers. Initiative aimed at reducing the impact on the environment caused by different production processes, thus incorporating circular economy concepts into agricultural production activities.
